Photoshop Passport Template Video Tutorial
Video Transcript
Welcome to the PassportPhotoApp.com tutorial for our Photoshop passport and visa photo template.
This template is is designed as a white label solution for commercial photo studios,
Using it allows you to quickly prepare regulation passport photos and offer your clients a variety of output sizes.
Let’s get started.
The first step is to add your logo to the template. This step is optional but gives the finished product a more professional feel.
First double click on the Thumbnail of the Add Your Logo Here layer to open the Logo Smart Object. You can then drag in your own Logo or create on within the smart object document. Just make sure it’s within the document boundary. When you are done positioning, save and close the smart object document.
After adding the logo, it would be a good idea to Save a new copy of the template so you don’t have to add it in the future.
The next step is to add the client’s photo. I’ve prepared one in advance. You just need to drag the clients photo into the template, and then make sure it’s within the “Place Photo in Here folder” above the GreyBG layer.
Now it’s time to position the photo. First make sure the eyes are within the grey eye zone, and then center the photo.
To check if the head is within the passport regulation size, you can use the head size ruler. The bottom should be placed a the bottom of the chin, and then you can adjust the photo so that the top of the head is within the “Top of Head” zone, if not you can resize the photo so it fits.
When you have the photo positioned how you like, you can then create the final output. If you are creating multiple output files, now would be a good time to create a history snapshot.
Using the actions provided with the template, we can quickly create a variety of standard sizes. I go to my actions panel and then select the size that I want and push play. Photoshop then creates an output file with the dimensions and photo quantity that you requested.
I hope this quick tutorial helps. If you have any questions please get in contact with us.
